I've been reading all the posts about Diamond Sportsbook both here and on gambling911 for the past few days. Should I say "Hello" and "Goodbye" Dino & Stretch who are posting (or having posted) the lies about what's really going on at Diamond.
Yes, they removed Robbie "Diamond" and his partner who were put in charge of marketing in their suspecious long term absenses. No one really seems to know the whole truth about why, but now that they are gone, there are a lot of very unhappy customers and agents that we all have to deal with. Seems pretty strange since rumor has it that they increased sales steadly each month by 20% or more. Yes, the most believeable rumor is that they too have been stiffed for a lot of money that will probably never be paid for their services. It was really nice being busy in waging for a change and now the phones hardly ever ringing unless it's someone with a lot questions about what's going on.
It's a pretty scary atmousphere in wagering because they won't tell us anything. I came into work the other day to see 4 rows of computers missing and was told a feeble story about fixing the air conditioning. Last night a notice was posted at the guard's counter for a very short time (before it was removed - never to be seen again) enforming everyone that they were removing unnecessary equipment because we will be moving to a new location in the near future - soon to be announced. Today, we sat in wagering while they removed even more.
No one will tell us anything.....but we strongly suspect that Monday will be our last payday and we will show up to find the doors locked and Diamond gone. Rumor now has it that DSI has been sold to another local book. Wish I knew who it is or if I'll still have a job?
